First I had heard of this, but I would think that any manufacturer of guitars would be highly sensitive to any of its business practices coming under scrutiny as being termed "illegal". I am not bringing this up as any way of suggesting EBMM is not on the up and up as to its wood sourcing, on the contrary. I am just placing it here as an FYI to the artists and musicians that make up this community.

Not sure if EBMM uses any of the woods that are covered by the Lacey act, so maybe this topic does not apply here.

Interesting enough, I recently imported a high end acoustic made with Brazilian Rosewood. While it was in transit, I became aware that exporting the guitar from the US actually violated the Lacey Act, but I figured there was little chance of the Canadian Customs picking up on the origin and what wood the guitar was made from.
