Last of these for a while - stunning collection - NBD....

Hi all

Strangely, an EBMM came into stock recently in the UK which was the kind of spec I wanted. I was going to buy one near Xmas 2012, but wasn't sure due to work related issues with my partner.

Anyway, this came in, and the store I dealt with near Xmas agreed to keep to the same price they quoted. In fact, a little better! They have, as most items in the UK, gone up in price due to the current economic situation, so I've got lucky with this.

Very quick service, no fuss, and it HAS arrived. It feels weird that I don't have the build time wait haha! Kinda like I don't believe its here!

All I have done is open the case to let it warm to the room. All I can say is, it's beautiful, and the guard is SUPER cool.

It is also spot on with regards to latest spec tuners.

We all say 'last NBD for a while', but this was the ONE I wanted to complete my 'dream' collection. This will be my last bass I buy for a long time, as I want to enjoy my fantastic collection and get gigging again.

Cheers EBMM...it is STUNNING.

I'll plug in later...

Sorry guys...I only had chance to unpack it, let it warm up etc and settle to my house temperature.

I had a good 15 mins plugging it in before I went to sleep, and it plays/sounds fantastic. The single coil is very cool as I expected. It's responsive, warm, and clear. I assume the neo magnets are probably part of what makes it so clear and powerful. The bridge is tight and middy, which is EXACTLY why I like it!

It is, if you haven't guessed, a Bongo 5 HS, Sky Blue, with a Vintage White Pearl Plate.

I feel incredibly lucky to have this lineup of basses.

I looked saw it listed in his signature when I didn't see a picture. Movielife, quite the collection and color palette. Very nice!

Fabulous - particularly good you have both sky blue and tangerine pearl Bongos.

You'll have to post some family shots of your basses - some collection there.
