Some of you might know know that I have GAS for a Rosewood ASS. However lurking here and seeing all the stunning Blue Dawn guitars have made me want one. I have searched and searched but haven't found an awnser if they are avilable left handed. I need to decide on what to get soon so I can have the guitar sooner as well as EBMM recomending to order a LE now.
Also I don't know if you can do this but if any guitar shops have ordered lefty LE's could you give me their names.
Thanks

Hey Kiss,

Yes, you can order the new Limited Edition Blue Dawn finish in any instrument we have available (yes, Lefties too!) except for the Steve Morse Y2D. I don't know who has lefty Blue Dawn LEs on order for store stock.

Hope this helps!
All the best,
Beth :)

It is available to order left handed, but it does not come with the limited case. Normal up charges still apply.

I think he was referring to all guitars in general, just saying that they don't come with the LE case, instead with a normal molded case (since they don't have any left handed LE cases).

OK awsome! Yeh I didn't really care as long as 1 model was available lefty. But if we get normal lefty choice than I want a Silo Special!
This now makes my choice so much harder because the wait is longer for an LE than an ASS and I still love both equally. I am still trying to find a dealer that has ordered either so if anybody out there has any coming in please email me.[email protected] Boy this is going to be a hard one to decide.

Blue Dawn would be my recommendation. I have seen where people have offered their left arms for this. Hearing why it was discontinued and seeing how it's going makes me think that once it's gone this time it will never come back.

I didn't make any jokes about left handed rosewood or left handed sparkle paint but I bet they would be funny.:)

I like Blue Dawn

I'm trying to picture in my head why wouldn't a lefty fit in the limited case. Is it because of the rectangular compartment inside?

just curious...

Right. The guitar goes into the LE case at an angle, and the compartment fits from one end of the case to where the upper horn goes. On a lefty, the upper horn would be shooting out the backside of the case, if positioned the same way.

Ok well this is really a hard choice and I am planning on ordering something this weekend and I am still stuck.
So from what I have read there is roughly a $500 upcharge for an LE, will it be the same for a lefty since we don't get the case but we have the convert upcharge?
I want to go black ice or a moonstone pickgaurd and since black is standard would it be better to order the pg with the guitar or seperate later on? The pro with later is that you get 2 pg's.
I have listened to both and I think for my plaing style a rosewood ASS would be better for me, but the Blue Dawn looks so freaking cool, plus I never get anything all cool and limited.
I have medium-small hands but I play alot of Buckethead so I need that far reach, my Silo is great, nice and comfy, but could have a thinner neck , which has the thinner neck?
I wish I could buy both but then I would have to sell my Silo Special and be left with no Balls untill September...not cool.
Any recomendations.
