Didn't look like it to me. I'm pretty sure they were Rosewood.

i played the 2006 LE Silo Special HSS a few weeks ago, the gold was great, but not my cup of tea. REALLY nice axe, rosewood fingerboard on a silo special is great.

Wonder what the 07 LE will be......

Well, if they are "cliche", it's because black and gold is an extremely attractive combination. Scarlett Johansen is a beautiful curvaceous blonde (very cliche), but I ain't kicking her out of bed for eating crackers. It's still attractive and stunning regardless of how popular it might be, what's wrong with that?

My black and gold Les Paul was the "D B" when I got it but the plating did wear off.
But man it still oozes class even though only a small amount of the plating remains.

I don't intend to beat up a LEAL (if I get one) as much as my Les Paul but I wouldn't shed any tears if the plating does fade.

I think the LE's look great - and thanks guys for posting pics of the LEAL - nowis there a pic out there of an LEAL/MM90's and TREM?

Oh and the fretboard is rosewood Brent, but Ebony would have been wicked!!!

I am sure EBMM use the best quality hardware that probably will not fade as bad as some other guitars.

Hot chicks are never cliche.

And as for the LE, I think they look awesome. They're not for everyone, but that's why MM offers a zillion colour choices. Thank g-d all of us don't like exactly the same things in a guitar.

I’m usually not a fan of black and gold, in fact not a fan of black or gold. But I’d classify these LE’s as elegant, and not at all bling bling or cliché. Ok, maybe just a little bling.
