What's the current lead time for an Axis or ASS?

If I were to walk into my local US Music Man dealer and order an Axis or ASS, (assuming it was not in stock at the store) does EBMM ship from stock or are the guitars built to order?

If my axe had to be built to order, how long would it take to receive delivery? Thanks very much.

About 4-5 months

San, Because we are build-to order company, we do not have stock of any instruments. So the average lead time is 4-5 at this time and subject to change.

There are also a lot of dealers who have pretty decent stock if you don't want to wait. But it is totally understandable if you do. It is sweet to get a guitar made just for you, and there are advantages to buying locally, as well. ;)

That is 4-5 weeks right?? Or is it months? Do you expect the wait time to stay that way in the summer,I am thinking of ordering in July

Yes, the wait time is around 4-5 months. That means today's orders would ship in September/October.

Planning is required! :p

It's months...
Sorry-o.

Oh man that is brutal, but worth the wait. Maybe I'll try to order sooner. Of course there is a sliver of a chance a find a Lefty Rosewood Super Sport on the net somewhere.

btw dood, if I one day woke up and the world was inverted and I was right handed, first thing I'd buy would be your exact guitar. But since the world is inverted Ernie Ball would pay me to take the guitar...ahh yes

I don't care which way the world is turned, there's no way I'm selling my guitar.
:D :D
Thanks for the compliment though. Maybe you should bite the bullet and play Jimi-style!

Well it doesnt have to be YOURS, but mine would be a clone, other than the fact that it is upside down (world is back to normal) But actually I have been tempted to turn aMystic Dream upside down . If I could convert my Dad to Musicman and he got one then I could give it a try.

OK, Thanks.

I like the "lean manufacturing" mode of EBMM. Not a lot of $$$ tied-up in finished goods inventory. That's smart...
