I'm jealous. Not only am I not playing 2nite, but rather I had work till 10:30, that and I dont even have a ray to play anymore. It's very depressing, but I find hope in the fact that I only have a few more weeks to go until my Sterling arrives. Have fun at rehearsal!!

Anyone else playing tonight?

Yeah, I just got back from the local jam, I took a Kurzweil K2000 and a lefty Sterling... odd combo huh? I still am considered a keyboard guy, I've done it the most, but the bass is what I'm really into now.

Although the one set I played bass on sucked, I tried to use my Korg PX4B as a pre amp, bad drummer, I was pretty drunk, but I make no excuses.... I played bad.

On keys though I was having a good night, I can do a pedal steel (with full independent pitch bending) and there were several songs I got to use it on.

Anyway, I enjoyed tonight, I've been invited to another jam in Burlington, NC tomorro .... tonight now, i may go and then hit a later one here next to my house...

By the way the Sterling sounded great, can't wait to play it more. :D

No playing tonight aside from fiddling with an Ibanez 7 string guitar to put down some scratch ideas for a bit of a 'heavy' cover I'm working on..... and yes, I am gravitating toward the lo B on the One-Banez

Sounds almost identical to my situation. I'm a fiddle guy (been playing for 21 years), but I'm REALLY into playing bass these days. I've been playing bass for about 12 or 13 years, but I never started gigging on bass regularly until about a year or two ago. It's getting to the point that fiddle gigs piss me off. :D

I like middle-of-the-week gigs, but unfortunately I didn't have one last night. Sometimes I have a Wednesday night gig. My next gig is Saturday, but it's a fiddle gig. :D

Went and added a new piece to the rig...a Hartke XL Series 1x15 cab.

I'll fire up the rig when all the neighbors are away this afternoon; give it a test run.
