Awwww. Ok this is not a pity-seeking thread firstly...
I dont have a single EBMM bass in my stable. Its been a while since i wanted one, but cashflow can get tricky from where i'm at. Also, I'm working on setting up a personal studio with my band, which of course, requires capital.
With the advent of the dual PUP models, someone in my position has way more choices to make than the average EBMM maniac. While a few have at least one of each model, some others have chosen to be faithful to their bongos, sterlings or rays alike.
I still aspire to own an SR4, SR5 and a sterling. In fact, I'm still shooting for the single pup models. When the time comes, I might just decide which 2 pup model to get. I'm sure all the basses sound GREAT regardless of config, because i am a believer of the 'magic of the player's fingers'. And i feel strongly about Stingrays being a very 'transparent' bass in that regard, as i've heard some people sound like utter crap on SRs, while others coax extra-terrestrial tones out of it.
Having said all that, I'm gonna go practice on my trusty Yam*** bass, and pretend its an SR4. Peace and love...
