Lem Oil on Maple neck?

Changing my strings and thought of treating the neck with Lem Oil... is this a good idea? Any other preserving maintenance tricks anyone knows of? I looked for a maintenance section on this forum but couldn't find one.
God I love my bass. I just want to take care of it.

only if it is "bare" wood, otherwise you are just putting oil on a sealant.

If your neck and fretboard are finished/laquered then just polish with a clean rag.

they told you everything. If you neck is laquered, you should just use a rag, otherwise, use lemon oil on kitchen paper, and wipe the grease ecc...

I'm new to the MM family so I'm still learning but I think the lemon oil is for the back of the neck. MM has a fretboard conditioner that I'm looking at. I picked up a 25th last night with a RW board so I'm checking to see if the MM fretboard condtioner is what I'm supposed to use for it.

My question: Does anybody have a source for the high quality lemon oil?

Lemon oil is the generic product to use on rosewood fretboards. You can get quality lemon oil at any GC, At least that is where I got mine.

Or, buy Ernie Ball Wonder Wipes, which have orange oil as a major ingredient.
