Hey all you ray-heads, bongo dudes and lurkers,
My good friend and bass bro' Dean Cortez who is a long time MM user--he has a Sr5-
beautiful I think it's called 'sunburst blue'- ( He LOVES this bass) Dean is a local L.A. groovemaster and session guy. He has played with Hiroshima for years. He is also recording a Cd with legendary band Karizma---David Garfield, Vinnie Colaiuta, Mike Landau and Lenny Castro. Super heavy;-)-
Anyway, I talked to him the other day and said why don't borrow a bongo from me and see how you like it. well, I gave a HH and a single H to try. He called me yesterday and was RAVING about both bongos---at this point he is favoring the single pickup---(both big poppa and I love the H)
I think Dean has seen the bongo light---thought i'd share a little
take care

Good job, Cliff! I, too, have loaned a Bongo or two out to the nonbelievers...with the same results.

BTW, that drummer, Vinnie? He's pretty good, I hear.

I believe he has been immortalized in song.. in this case, Zappa's tune "Catholic Girls"... along with Warren Cuccurullo.

He was just crazy on 'Seven Days' by Sting, album title Ten Sumonner's tales or something like that. A true living legend in drums!

You guys keep saying thats like that and i'll have to be another 1000 bucks poorer after getting my 3 dream basses. Intriguing though :)

not a bad drummer---;-);-);-)
bu the way Dean LOVES the single pickup bongo----he can't stop talking about--I have to take him out for a round of golf to calm him down
