Hey all, longtime EBMM slut on the forums, but newer to here. two questions. First, where is that website a forum member on here has with the GIGANTIC collection of JPs? :D

Second, and most importantly.
I recently got this very different JP6. Now, here are the specs I know of:
Roasted Maple Birdseye neck
Ebony Board w/ stainless frets
3 wood body (alder, maple, mahogany)
Piezo system (Best I've ever heard, seriously)
Dimarzio Liquifire/Crunchlab

The pics are the previous owner's, he says this guitar was a limited run of 30. Now, here is where it gets strange. A good friend of mine has a huge collection of MusicMan JPs, and he seems to think this is one of thirty that John himself had made. ANy ideas? Kind of hard to judge the actual color in these pics. Here is a link to the pics:

the great thing about the Musicman guitars is that they are 100% identical to what john plays... there's no special deal that John has and slaps his name on the headstock and collects a paycheck while playing something different... so though it's not FOR John it's exactly like one he has...

I was at a clinic hosted by a local shop years ago and Albert Lee (another MusicMan Artist) was doing to clinic and his guitar somehow didn't show up - he walked over to the wall and pick up his "signature" model and said "just like mine" and did the clinic without skipping a beat...

hey thanks Glenn! In all my perusing of this board about JP6's I have never come across that link. Who's Ernie1966?

Razzle, no problem, always glad to share. Ernie is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. I first met him at the Open House in 2005. He started out collecting and playing EVH's. When the JP came out he was nuts over it. Sold all of the EVH's and start collecting JP's. He's got a huge number of them. He reads, but doesn't post much these days. He got married a while ago and my guess is that he's either got a family or is working on it, but that's only a guess, haven't talked to him in a very long time.

By the way, I visit his Pets page periodically. It's really neato.
