Could annyone tell me how a bass sounds thru a regular Pod 2.?. Can it be done with decent results? And on the flip side of that, has anyone ever tried a guitar thru an original Bass Po? I know it's a bass processer, but it has that Brit Major or whatever it's called setting that's got me wondering. In case you hadn't guessed, I have both a bass and guitar:) Thanks for any info that you can give!

i had one of the original Pod pro rack mount jobs a while back.great for private practice and recording but not so hot with a bass amp and cab.I tried it as a preamp with speaker emulation off and I could never get it sounding "in my face" for want of a better description.out live I always felt a bit disconnected from the sound I was hearing - maybe it would have been better into the PA but I just went back to the amp head and kept the pod pro for at home. That said I thought it had some great sounds and was inspiring to use.

Not sure about the marshall - it was modelled on a bass head (Super 400? - have I got that right?)but I used to chuck my electric, electro acoustic, keyboards, drum machines whatever through through the pod for recording and could always get good results.iirc there was a valve emulation setting and that worked great with everything.

the pod pro had the samic basic features as the pod - it just had extra connections and was rack mount.
