Hello,
I am currently building an electrical guitar.
I want her to be a multiscaled/fanned guitar, a bit of a challenge.
Because the fanning is heavily dependent of the strings I´ll use it´s kinda difficult to actually plan er properly.
Measuring on set of strings won´t be difficult, but honestly I am not sure which one I want to use in the end.
So I hoped to be able to find some string specks... I couldn´t.... which is a real shame...
I thought it would be kinda important to other guitarists and builders too.
So why I am writing here:
I´ll use a 10-46 pack that´s for sure... could some of you perhaps be so kind and measure the strings for me please... or perhaps refer to where I could find them,
couldn´t find them in the internet.
How to measure: Measure the strings lenght and then put them sperately on a scale (the finer the better).
The linear mass density is simply mass devided by the lenght.
If you would do this please be so kind and give the units you used.
I know I perhaps asked for a lot, but I am sure someone in the future will find those informations useful aswell.
(Once I get my hands on a few sets, I will put the measurements under this thread.)
Thank you very much
Cheers
