Little help with Morse sig guitar

Hey, I own a EBMMSM guitar and need a little advice. On my bridge and neck humbuckers, there is rust that has developed in the small circular metal parts of the humbuckers. What is the best way to get rid of the rust? Help much appreciated.

I seem to recall that this topic was discussed in great detail on the bass board. I think the final conclusions were:

1) Use the eraser of a No.2 pencil to remove the rust.

2) Put as little 3in1 oil as possible on the affected area.

3) The rust doesn't hurt anything.
