From what I've read, on the EBMM Luke III HHs, there is a way to balance the levels of the split vs. full 'bucker selections.

I understand that there is no such control on the LK100D, correct?

Positions 2 & 4 are a bit thin, much more noticeable on clean than with gain. Is there anything one can do with any sort of wiring trickery to even things out a tad?

I'm afraid there is nothing you can do about that. Parallel wirings will always be more clean and silent than series modes.

Thanks Sadner for the reply. From what I read, this "balancing" is accomplished in the EBMM Luke III HH via the preamp. So I am wondering if there is any way to swap out the preamp for the EBMM one. Although I suppose after all that work if it was possible I might as well just look for a good deal on a used EBMM Luke III HH ;)

You better look for a used luke iii indeed. Ebmm will not sell anny major parts unless you send in a broken part first.
