I'm considering replacing the stock tuners on my '96 AL with locking schallers...should I get the 3 per side or the 6 in line?

Has anyone here done this? I'm wondering if the holes will line up. The stock tuners are non-locking schallers.

Thanks,

since EB uses the 4x2 headstock config i don't know of a way of buying tuners for it without having to buy 2 sets. otherwise i'd go for sperzel's.

I've inquired about this, and last time I checked, you can order tuners straight from Ernie Ball for $12 a tuner. That way, you don't have to buy 2 sets of tuners for the 4-2 configuration.

Also, I don't believe the holes line up. You'd probably have to tap new one for the locking tuners, which isn't that big of a deal. I'm going to do this with my 98 Albert Lee sometime in the future.
