Hi all,

If have seen my introduction to the forum you might remember I mention a sterling SUB silo3. Its not much but... It gets better.

Well here it finally us, more than six months later.

The story goes that after 2 years working from home throughout the pandemic, and way too much time on YouTube watching endless clips EBMM Luke models and demos, I was GAS'ing hard to get my hands on one. Being in lockdown and not having any US EBMM's around to get my hands on made it really difficult to really get a feel for one.

Not long before I found a stroke with a SUB Silo3 at half price. Not a bad deal. No big loss if I don't like it, I thought. I was wrong ( in a good way).

It arrived at my door the next day, and I loved it as soon as I ran some notes up and down the neck. It was so comfortable and allowed me to play faster with less effort (coming from years on lespauls and a wide neck fender deluxe). I also loved the smaller body size. Overall it feel so much more natural to me compared a strat.

Next I was impressed by the pickups. They are beefy. Good crunch and powerful leads but also smooth cleans.

On the bad side, the nut was high a jamming the strings. The neck had a back bow. So needed some work.

Its taken so long to finally get here because I did end up spending more time and money...

I've had it on the work bench for most of this time (for good reason). But this is the result, routed for gotoh Floyd rose. The short trem block fits perfect in this slim body. Unfortunately, it fell off the bench and chipped the paint off the body on the right. But it is now a more potent rock machine.

This inspired me to other things.... More to come....
