Not that I don't love the tones coming from my rosewood neck JP6 but I wonder what the Crunchlab/Liquifire combo would sound like? Thicker, more articulate? Not enough to warrant the change?

Also, what color combo besides the typical black on black would look classy with Mystic Dream?

I kinda liked the versatile, rocky, crunchiness of the D-Sonic. I like the Liquifire very much, but ironically I found the Crunch Lab less crunchy than the D-Sonic.

All great pickups though, tbh, the Steve's Special, D-Sonic and Crunch Lab have never been pickups that left me wanting.

As for colour combo in a Mystic Dream, black and purple? Black and green? Chrome covers?

CL+LF combo blows away the d-sonic combo. The original set circa 2001 is great but more tame IMO.

+1 on that

I replaced my Dsonic set with CL/LF on my BFR and have not looked back since…ever so glad that I did it! I gave the Dsonic a year to let it 'grow' on me.. but it never did.

One of these days I will record all the versions of these pickups for everyone to hear.
