Hi everyone,
this is my first post, I'm a long time owner and abuser of musicman guitars from Ireland, got my first one back in 2000 a Trans Red Axis sport. my first really good guitar.
I strayed away for a few years, using other brands, but got turned back a few years ago when i picked up a 2005 Ltd Edition Buttercream Luke with piezo from a friend. absolutely fell in love with the luke. so much so that when the LIII was released i had my local store get me one in asap, Olive Gold with rosewood neck.
thats been my number one gigging guitar for the last 3 years, until a month ago when i treated myself to an SSS Albert Lee,
really gotten into country music over the last several years and have had a few telecasters, but always loved the playability of my MM guitars over all so i figured id go for an AL that could be my chicken picking twang machine, and boy is it.
but it can do so much more . great for funk and any kinda of s*ratty type tone you could want.
i did a little quick video for a Facebook group I'm in to show it off

thought y'all might enjoy the video.

i also added a neck on switch with a push pull pot on the tone control so i can get that Tele kinda middle pos sound which i love for spanky rhythm stuff.

Anyhoo, really glad to be a part of the forum, and i'll stick up a couch shot of my 4 Musicmen next time i have them all together .

philip.

Thanks man, I'm still only getting into that style of playing. I'm a rocker first and foremost, but i really started getting into Brad Paisley and Brent Mason and those kinda players a few years ago.

Jaysus. Another Irishman! One day soon we may have a small army and we will take over the forum! The Ernie Ball rising of 2016! :D

Welcome aboard, Phillip! Great work with the neck-on switch. The bridge-neck sound is a favourite of mine. Works great when the bridge pickup is a humbucker too.

Brad Paisley is such a great player. The Play The Guitar album is great and I spent some time playing (or butchering ...) songs like Hukelberry Jam, Turfs Up and Departure ...
