Hey Larry,

Clarify something for me...........You'd pass up that guitar just because it is missing an original pickup? What's your reasoning behind this? Couldn't you get one from EBMM? Just curious.

The only way you can get a pickup from EB/MM is as a direct replacement. You need to send in the original to get a replacement

Jon can you clarify something for me my Axis i have now has a Gotoh Floyd did EBMM use Schaller at one point or is this guy just not know whats in his guitar?

As far as I know we always used Gotoh Floyds. We did use a Schaller locking trem, but not on the EVH or Axis.


enie1966 has a Silo with the Schaller trem...Maybe he will see this and post a pic so you can see the difference

Not a great photo, but it shows that bridge. It functioned like the old fulcrum Kahlers with rollers in the saddles, but had a different fine-tuneing mechanism than what Kahler used on theirs. The photo in that tread doesn't show the whole guitar, but these used a behind the nut string lock (also like a Kahler).
