This guitar was recently stolen.

Here is a photo taken on a 'phone.

It is a trem model and was stolen without it's case.

I hope to have a serial number soon

In this photo I've taken the body and fret board separately into photo shop to try and make the graining stand out more.

Any info please let me know.

That's so unfortunate! What were the circumstances around it's theft? Was it being played at a show and someone knick'd it? or just one day you looked and it wasn't there anymore?

The pics look like it's for sale in a shop...was it stolen from a showroom floor, or are those just pics from before it was sold?

The guitar was stolen from Gamlins music shop in Cardiff, in broad daylight from the shop window!!

The annoying thing was that I knew someone who wanted to buy this guitar (it was NOS and a fraction of the current price),and as a result of the theft lost out on a great deal.

I am hoping to get the serial number very soon and will post it to assist in it's recovery

That's crazy. It's so infuriating that people can be like that (I managed a retail location for 5 years...so we'd always get hit, very unfortunate that someones always scheming)

Was it a smash and grab...or they actually came in the shop pretending to browse until the clerks turned their backs.

uggg...i'm getting heated just thinking about it!

I think Carvin offers that as an option...snagg, or something like that. Cool idea, but I think it would be a bit useless. I mean if the person who stole the guitar plays guitar...then he;s gonna hold onto it and play it forever ..and if he just stole it to sell it, then well...how many shops have a chip reader? or would even care to bother checking...things that make you go hmmm.

But yeah, I hope you get that guitar back.

If there was a national or international guitar registry, or it was an accepted industry standard, It's a great idea.

You can actually buy the scanner and the chip.

It wasn't a smash and grab - apparently an opportunist stole it from the front window display!!

It's not mine but it was stolen from a shop that I bought my very first electric guitar nearly 40 years ago !!!

So a good opportunity to bump it.

Sorry, the serial number was promised to me but it hasn't shown up yet !!
