Hi! A few days ago my StingRay5 has spoilt and I would be greatful if somebody could send me some Schematic wiring (schemes or chart) for the single pickup 3 band Sting Ray5 from 1996.
It will help me to check what has been spoilt and how to fix it

Spoilt SR5

Thanks!!!
I'm very greatful for your help.
Mayby you can advice me what could happen with my guitar:
I've bought the guitar (from the second hand of course  ) few weeks ago and after few days I have found that something has happend. In the middle possition of a switch lever the signal is more quiet than on the other possitions and the the one coil doesn work (the one nearest the neck) but on the other possitions work both coils
What do you think what is going on???
I think that the phantom coil has spoilt, what do you think???
How to check if the phantom coil work, how to check if the pickup is ok???
Is it a wiring or the pickup???
Ohhh!!!!!! I haven't mentioned that a two days ago everythink was OK again; but now it doesn't work again!!!
Maybe there is what we call 'cold solder' (zimny lut) in Polish - because sometimes everythink is OK and another day it is spoilt again.
What do you thin???

The middle position is the single-coil mode and it should sound a little smaller than the other positions. Also, only one coil (single...) is working in that position.
It's all good:)

:( Unfortunately it isn.t OK!!
I've heard like it should sound (work), becauce it has worked good before.
In the middle possition it sounds 'too small' and there is a hum (the noise) :(
In the theory there should work just one coil and the phantom coil but not like that and there is a 'repture ' (I don't know if it's a good word) like the ground was cut, cause when I touch the bridge the hum get lost but the sound is still 'too small'. When I opened it and check if the ground is cut there was no sign of it, everything seemed to be fine.

Contact CS. That's the first and best thing to do.
I too had problems with the 3 position selector switch on my SR5, I have tightened the little "legs" on the selector and used a contact cleaner spray, never had trouble since.
