I've got a 57'VOS Goldtop that I'm thinking about selling to help purchase a new JPXI.
I know they are quite different.
Truth is, aside from the traditional aspect of appreciation for the LP, I've never gotten over a sale of a Parker Fly Mojo I used to own. I don't yearn to grab the LP just to have fun & play. When I bought it, it was almost a little status symbol-ishy that encouraged me to buy it, with my best friend picking up an R9 just a few days after (friendly competition?). The all black fly I owed, that thing was fun! That thing just inspired me to play.
Whenever I imagine my perfect guitar, it resembles something like that, but with a more traditionally-shaped body. That's where the JPXI comes in. I've always liked that all-black look. Ebony board with stainless steel frets! Man, makes me drool.
Only problem is that I've never played one (JPXI). I loved the playability of that Parker, and loved the stainless steel frets.
Going by Youtube clips of the JPXI, I'd dare to say that this thing sounds like a monster! It has the warm-thickness that my LP has...and perhaps the playability that I'm looking for as well.
I know a lot of people may disagree (..."don't sell or trade that LP")..but I want something I can enjoy and the play the heck out of.
Any JPXI users here that can share what they like & don't like about their guitar?
Thanks,
darchirnoj
p.s. I know it's the apples and oranges cliche, so I'm not asking for any comparisons, just what you enjoy about your JPXIs. Thanks.
