well the autumn SSS had a much nicer tone than my ex-silo special, it sounded plenty like my AL's, nice sparkly cleans, even thugh the strings were old and its was beat up. so naturally a brand spankin new DD Silo Spec SSS will be much better!!!!

Interesting. The single coil p'ups are the same as on the HSS (I think?). I guess you're referring to 4th and 5th position?

yeah the positions that are taken by the humbucker, they sound so great on with SSS. but even the neck pickup sounded much woodier, really. it was a hardtail too, maybe that made the difference.

thanks knucklheads. I figured I couldn't have it ALL. But I wondered how close. As of right now, I'de get the SSS Al LTD '07 if I had to choose. Trem and piezo of course.

I would like a compliment/opposite to my '06 PETLTD.
