Hi everyone :)

I'm new here and thought I'd say hello.

I've been playing guitar for about 37 years now. Played everything from solo acoustic type stuff to lotsa blues (lotsa blues!) to my current band playing progressive rock, jam band type stuff.

I played a EB/MM Silhouette a while ago and was really impressed with its feel, tonal versatility, and ergonomics.

Does anyone here have a recommendation about a good dealer to get a Silhouette from? I'd be looking for one with H-S-H, trem, and preferably a rosewood board.

Appreciate any feedback y'all might have.

Oh ... and happy new years to everyone.

Cool. Deacon Blues!

:D

Have you tried PEELER'S MUSIC out thataway?

About a year ago they had a Luke and a Morse (both gonzo).

Guitar Center usually carries ebmm.

I popped into one (walked actually) yesterday in Fountain Valley CA and they had an Axis, a Luke, and 5 sub 1 guitars.

Yep ... Peeler's is my main guitar haunt. It's only about 1/2 a mile from my house (coincidence? I think NOT! ).

I'll be calling them to see if they have one in stock, but I don't think they do.

I'm also pretty sure my local GC didn't have any Silhouettes in stock last time I was there.

Thanks for the reply. :)

Also, got to www.ernieball.com and go to musicman and then dealer locator and plug in your zipcode. You might get lucky.

But a lot of us here do the special order thing and get our guitars exactly as we want 'em and only wait about 3 months for it.

Thanks Keith ... I think I probably will just do a special order.

In my current band, I'm needing a guitar that comfortable to play, has a lot of versatility, and is very road-worthy. It seems like the Silhouette may just be a great fit.

We play everything from Zappa tunes to Allman Brothers to Derek Trucks to Phish ... and originals. I need something that will do the fat, beefy humbucker sound, and shimmery single coil sound, and territories in between.

Welcome to the addiction! There are a couple of dealers here on the forum. I have dealt with one who goes by the name Bassplyr. Very cool dude, who got me a wonderful deal on a new EBMM JP-6 w/piezo. Should be here any day now. He has kept me informed throughout the whole process as to what phase my axe is in and is just an all around great guy. So, you can give him a PM and see what he can do for you if you want. Order one that you want if you are willing to wait the 3 months for it to come in.

Flashback has a couple of silo standards (no trem) A black rosewood and a sunburst piezo rosewood.

That BD piezo LUke is long gone unfortunately.

I wish I owned it, guess my BD Luke sans piezo will have to do.

...and it does.

tommy in delaware

Thanks Tommy :)

I think the best model for me would be a Silhouette w/ vintage style trem and a rosewood board.

Let me know if you get one of those in.
