Looking for my old black/maple 1989 stringray, who has it?

I miss it and would like to know if anyone around here still has it... It was sold on ebay, at the time it had a black pearloid pickgaurd.

It was built january 1989 same month and year I was born.. It was my first stingray..
It basicly looked new on the front, only the back showed some wear..

Wish I had a serial number...

That's going to be a tough find as I'm sure black is one of, if not, the most popular colours. Your best bet is to track down the guy who bought it from you if you still have that information. If not, they still make 'em in black and they are still good!

Lack of.... money, perhaps?

And sometimes it simply does not make sense to keep (valuable) instruments you won't play for any foreseeable future.

Don't give up on the quest. Don't wanna sound like Captain Obvious but have you backtracked through your feedback profile on Ebay to get the purchasers Ebay handle. You may not recall their id off the top of you head but will recognise it when you see it. They may still be registered and you could contact them. Just thinking out loud.
I have been trying to find the link to a story of a guy here is Australia who was in a similar situation. Parted ways with an old axe many moons ago and had some regrets later on. When he put the feelers out, lo and behold, it came back to him. It was a great story. You just never know.
