I am heading over to Ebay right now to get me some Brothers Johnson. I remember watching a snippet of one of his instructional videos when I was kid and couldn't even fathom what the heck he was doing. Love the funk. Check out 'stomp'on youtube. Even my wife stopped and said, "what the" when he started ripping out his solo.

I remember when i bought my first Stingray, i took the bass, went to the car, and when i started the car the radio went on and guess what song was playing on the radio? STOMP!!!
I was grinning from ear to ear

Also check out Ai no Corrida on youtube with Quincy Jones, truly outstanding, Louis was the main man of FUNK! Never heard a Stingray sound so funky since or take such a beating, I still to this day think of this as THE finest moment in funk bass playing and is still a main source of inspiration to me.
