I currently am playing a floyd rose equipped 25.5 scale guitar with the Skinny Top/Heavy Bottom set in Drop C. Currently I am a bit unhappy with the tension on the Low Strings, primarily the lowest 6th string.

The question is since it's a floating bridge will stepping up to the beefy slinky (which is identical in the 3 lower strings but thicker in the 3 higher strings) increase overall tension throughout?

Thanks

Yes, it will. You'll have to tighten the trem claw springs a little to compensate to maintain the bridge parallel to the top of the guitar. As usual with a floyd, it'll be a little bit of trial and error and patience to get it right.

a set of Skinny Top/heavy Bottom might be too skinny for drop C tunings, Beefy Slinky's are (mostly) used for drop D, and for drop C you might try either a set of Not Even Slinky's (P02626) or Custom Medium Gauge (P02204)

I play in drop C and Beefy Slinky is all I use. Ive tried using the Not Even Slinky but found it to be to much girth for my fingers to adjust to. Plus Yellow is my favorite color. win- win.
