Hi guys

Just joined forum last week as I have been looking to buy a 'Luke' for some time- ended up buying the 'True Gold' and is awaiting it now - therefore I'm probably as interested as the next man, to actually hear it.... :)

So I stumpled upon this video, where it sure seems like Lukather is playing 'Gift of Faith' on in in Amsterdam two days ago -

YouTube - ‪Toto - Gift of Faith - HMH - Amsterdam - 2011-06-23‬‏

Thought it might interest some of you.

I'm going to see them thursday night myself, will see if I can get a clear picture of him and this - and the prototype LukeIII, eventhough I will mostly be a longer distance from the stage to enjoy the full mix :)

If I'm mistaken of the guitar, or if I accidentally posted this thread in the wrong place - sorry!

That guitar is tuned down a half step (the riff to gift of faith requires an open D flat chord and open G flat chord) so he probably only uses it for the one song. Why build a prototype only to be tuned for one song. I am guessing that it isn't the True Gold that was his main guitar until recently since its missing the pigtronix sticker, though it could have been removed.

My god his sound is superb, seen him in London Sunday.
Did prefer the sound of the True gold over the prototype, but then again I’ve got one so i'm bias :D;).
