I acquired a used Luke III and it has a rattling trem arm.

I'm aware of the small allen screw that adjusts the swing tension of the arm but tightening the arm here still has that rattle. I tried searching for similar topics but the ones I found seemed to be more about the swing tensioning rather than arm rattle in the barrel.

Any suggestions on how to try and dampen it?

PS I also have a Luke II BFR (is it a I or II? Well anyway it has the vintage trem and EMGs) and it's trem is just fine ... zero rattle

Side to side rattle (and swing tension) is adjusted by the screw you have already adjusted.
In and out rattle is adjusted by the screw inside the base of the tremolo which sets the overall depth of the arm into the tremolo body.

If neither of these adjustments get rid of the rattle then something else may be going on with either the locking spring or something else that EBMM would need to diagnose.

Good luck!
