Hi.
I can't decide between Luke III and Kensrue StingRay. I watched 400 videos... but in all cases the guitarist's manner is very different and there are so many factors that I can't make a good comparison.
Does anyone know if the Kensrue StingRay has dynamics as great as the Luke III?
Similar or very different pickups?
Thanks!

Hey! I have a Kensrue Stringray but I have not owned or played a Luke III so I can't comment on that unfortunately. If you have any questions on the DK though let me know.

Very different animals - I'd say the Luke is a more versatile guitar but StingRays are great in their space too. They have different pickups/configs. (HH/HSS with a 5-way switch in the Luke vs. HS with 3-way in the DK).

Both are great but depends what you're really into. If you highly value the single-coil sound in the neck or like a stereo output for two amps/recording/etc, then the DK may be a better fit. If you you like HH or HSS configurations with a boost option, then the Luke may be better. Its hard to pick a loser though.

I saw that they are very different. Now I prefer the DK Stingray, it suits me more, what I am most interested in knowing is if it has a lot of dynamics. What I like most about the Luke is precisely its great dynamics. I don't like it when pickups compress.

I can’t speak for the DK explicitly but all of my MM guitars are very responsive to touch and pot adjustments. I’d expect the DK is no exception!

I would say so yes. The pickups would be 'medium' output, not super hot and respond really well to picking dynamics. This is my favorite pickup config out of my guitars. The neck single coil is to die for and the humbucker in the bridge is fantastic for everything from light crunch to heavy. I've kept mine in Dustins D standard tuning and it sounds killer!
