These are great, I just sold an older one(to many guitars)
I like that they are doing a different color besides red and blue.
I'd love to see it in white, cream, quilted top, black, and maybe sunburst

I was at Guitar Show in 2010. Sadly you didnt have the Luke at that time. It would have been probably mine then ;)

Are they modded SA's (SA-57's) like in the original Luke 1?
Also, is the neck profile a lot thinner, also like on the original?

Lucky you.
Luke 1's are awesome. Enjoy!

Craiguitar,

I agree! This will replace my original Red Luke 1 that I bought second-hand in 1999, recorded and toured with extensively. I unfortunately had to sell it in 2004. I couldn't find a Luke 1 to replace it with and have been happily using an axis as my main guitar since then. When I found out that they were reissuing the Luke 1, I immediately contacted EBMM who were extremely helpful, and placed an order sight unseen, not knowing what the color would be. Incidentally I love the Sledge color. It is scheduled to be delivered sometime today. I'll post pics for those interested after I get done putting it through the paces.

Cheers,

Tom

Excellent Tom, I bet you can't wait. I'll be interested to hear how the reissued version compares to the original (if you can remember what it was like) Mine is an early example (1993). It still plays beautifully, and has the best neck of any guitar i'e ever played. A lot different than my Luke II.

+1

I asked this in another thread, I would love to know the answer.
This is as important to me as having the Floyd Rose.:)

Well they just delivered it an hour ago. I am pretty stoked. I must have been the last delivery of the night. I feel like a kid on Christmas morning. I'll put it through the proper paces tomorrow and post up some pics and feedback. Suffice it to say, this thing looks and plays amazing. No pics I have viewed on the web represent how nice the paint is.

Thanks to all at EBMM that helped me acquire the Luke 1!
Here's a couple of really really bad cell phone pics, better ones tomorrow.

Cheers,

Tom
