I had a Luke a couple of years ago and let it go....my major problem was the middle pickup. I like my action really low and my natural picking position is right over the middle pickup, to the extent I just kept hitting it when when I was shredding, and it spoilt my enjoyment of the guitar.

I'm really starting to GAS for a LUKE again, so here's my question. Has anyone tried to lower the middle p'up on a LUKE - is it possible??

I guess it would need routing - but is there enough wood left under it to do this? Any more suggestions??

Thanks in advance.

My guess would be that there is enough wood to lower it but they are EMG's and you would be affecting the output of the PUP, when I put the Hum in the bunnyASS plenty of wood to get it to the perfect position, but with EMG's closer to the strings better output.
