Looking for a little info. I'm about to order a Luke guitar and just wanted to double check the tremolo config so that I know what to expect. When a Luke with no piezo ships from the factory is the tremolo set up to float?

Thanks!

Thanks Dodge,

That's what I thought and some of the posts here seem to confirm that. I was confused because I asked my local EB dealer about the Luke and this is the reply I got:

"For it to “float” you would have to change the bridge to a Floyd because the current system does not support a floater. You would then have to chisel the bridge cavity. EB simply will not perform such a complex mod. I spoke to my guy and he is not willing to do it either. Looks like a major production….. As far as a set up EB’ often do not need one. They are a home run right from the factory."

I'll have to tell him that he has some bad info.

Oh btw, it's going to be Candy Red. A Beauty!!

Your local eb dealer is right, there is no cavity under the bridge, the bridge is actually sitting off the body (if you know what l mean). I actually prefer it like this, cause if you don't want a floater, you can have the bridge flush with the body.
