I was looking forward to seeing how a Larry Dimarzio Luke photoshoot would come out. Nice! Great pic of the Olive Gold HSS too.

And this week Luke was voted "2012 coolest dude over 50", beating Huey Lewis, Clint Eastwood, some TV presenter I've never of, and Jeff Beck.

i would like to ear them without the inboard preamp i don't think it'll be the same sound
Bridge and Neck pickup haven't the same output level ( on the DI MARZIO site) but with the pre amp they have the same and even split sound have the same level is one of the best innovation .for me the pream is always active no battery no sound
i would like to see regular Luke III on PICS not the model with roasted neck i've alway the bad sensation that i own a guitar that doesn't exist .....even i love it with his rosewood neck ;) ah....marketing .....

Looking good isn't he? What a difference no booze and smoking makes. I've said it before, but I really do think that EBMM Luke's are one of the most visually balanced and beautiful guitar shapes ever designed. Even my non guitarist friends see my Luke's and comment on the lovely shape. It just looks right. It's one of the few guitars which completely dissolve and become part of the player. Elegant and functional, well engineered and now with a choice of EMG or DiMarzio, very versatile. Magical guitars. I'm going to buy them all - every colour and version; it's my personal mission! :D:D:D

Sorry got carried away

Luke is looking healthy and that is some great news. The guitars look even better than Luke, hahaha. Can't wait for his new album.

Can't help but agree with that. Apart from the buying them all part. I'll never be doing that, much as I'd love to.....

I never really gelled with the Luke BFR I had but the LIII is on my shopping list this year once I've cleared a bit of space!

I had the same problem. The guitar was beautiful and played extremely well but the pickups just never did it for me. Fortunately my LIII does gel with me more though. It's much more versatile time wise, same great playability. (And I prefer solid colors, hehe)
