I like the song samples I've heard of it on Luke's MySpace and Official Website. A bit heavier than my usual taste in music but it's still melodic. The more I hear the samples the more I like them, especially "Stab In The Back". Can't wait 'til it's released.

Thoughts?

I bought the album from an online ebay retailer in March, but was just given a refund after they couldn't get it for me. When is it going to be released in the states?

CD release and iTunes

Hey guys,'Thanks for the kind words.
The record is out in Europe and Asia and drops June 3rd in the USA. Amazon will have it as well as , hopefully your local stare. Assuming there IS a local store. Unfortunatly iTunes wont have it till mid Aug due to some stupid rule they have about release dates.
It is doing very well for me, as an old guy and has some diverse but rockin stuff on it as well and the melodic stuff. Its a vocal record NOT a fusion record but there is still alot of guitar playing with some very interesting vintage tones and of course, my Music man!!
I leave oin tour June 18th and will doing a world tour, and yes , dates in the USA which will be posted on my various websites. The best one to dig is www.stevelukather.net which has links to Myspace etc.. and my tour dates.
Thanks for givin a **** and hope to see you guys.
i DID thank "The Knuckleheads" on the liner notes.
have a good one

Hey guys,

I haven't posted here in a while, but... Luke's new album is rockin', he's best stuff in years, I couldn't believe it when l walked into my local music store and they had Luke's cd in, they only had 2 copies (me and a mate got them), but hey at least it's been released in the stores, here's hoping Luke can make it to Australia again, we are lacking in the rock department, but Luke/Toto always pull a great crowd. I hope Luke puts some tracks from his old Lukather album on his setlist.

Hey Luke l hope it's not gonna be another 10 years wait for your next solo release.

Cheers,

Scott.

The People's Republic of The United States (;)) is the last country to get this new CD!! Guitar players from all over the world are doing (or attempting) covers on Utube of the songs already.
Amazon says June 3rd. I have a feeling these next few days are going to drag slowly. lol

Also, the Lukather/Carlton stuff (CD/DVD) is awesome too.

Moring y'all

Thanks for the really kind words.
I WILL be touring worldwide and more USA dates then I think I have ever done. Starting small and working my way up. Dates will be up on my website and updated in the coming weeks.
OZ is also on the list for the fall. Just about everywhere else as well and what i missed this year will carry into 2009. No rest for the weary.
The hard copies of the CD for the USA-Canada and Mexico will be out next week and it is on iTunes now.
Thanks for the support. I have a new baby to put thru college. LOL Biff is her godfather.

On a lighter note, I had dinner with my old guityar teacher and jazz legend Jimmy Wyble last night. My son Trev and Jay Graydon were there too. I had not seen him in over 30 years and he is 86 YEARS old. It was a great time. Here is the humour. All Jimmy wanted to talk about was asian girls and how he fancied them and went into detail. hahahaha I wanna be like him when I grow up. 86 and STILL talking about
P***y! hahahahaha
have a nice weekend guys. I gotta practice and learn my stuff as rehearsals start Mon
I WILL be doing materiel from all my vocal-rock records from the first to Ever changing times and some surprises in there too.

Haha.. that's cool! The uninformed will probably think we're a band. :D

That's one heck of a touring schedule.. some guys will go to great lengths to avoid changing diapers! :D

Hope to catch you on tour this time around.

... I couldn't believe it when l walked into my local music store and they had Luke's cd in, they only had 2 copies ...

I had the same experience a couple of weeks ago: walked into JB Hi Fi one lunch time and discovered Luke's new CD completely by chance (they only had two copies too). I bought a copy on impulse...went back to work, and listend to it four times straight. GREAT album. Love ya work, Lucious, love ya work!

I'm listening to it right now and the production is brilliant. Ta listen to the drums and bass sounds on the album. Try and get the CD version if you can.
Fav Solo is on How many Zeros
Fav guitar sound is solo on Ever Changing times and The Truth
The Vocals on Jammin with Jesus are brilliant especially towards the end
Stab in The Back answers the question what would Luke sound like if he played with Steely Dan.

Go and get your copy now.

It gets a regular spin in my car and at work, some nice work on there, great tones, just the solo in "Never Ending Night" makes the cd worth buying, great listen from start to finish.

I don't see any UK dates yet on the upcoming Luke tour. Hopefully one or two will spring up later. As an adoring knucklehead, I'll definately be there.....:) The new CD is fantastic. Good on ya Lucious. :D
