Made a pickguard for my Stingray. Like it?

So I set about making a pickguard for the first time, and my Classic Stingray seemed to have the most straightforward pickguard of all my guitars/basses, so I decided to make a new one for that.

I cut it out of clear 1/8" plexi (using a jeweler's saw and a Dremel) and back-painted it, the way Rickenbacker did with their gold pickguards in the 50's. I'm not sure if I like it better than the tortoise that was on it, but I am quite pleased with how it turned out! What do you guys think?

Looks pretty cool, its amassing how a simple pick guard change can alter the whole look of a guitar !

Nothing special, just an off-the-shelf spray can from Lowes that looked the part.

Great stuff.
For anybody that may also consider this, it would be good judgement to be sure that the paint on the back of the guard is fully cured before mounting so as to minimize the chance of hurting the body finish.
