Hi Guys,

I would ask for a bit of a feedback in regards to the following:
I have a friend who owns a JP6. The guitar is dead mint and in brand new condition, no issues, however for some reason the Piezo volume (even when turned max on the Volume pot + the back mix is also on max) is lower in volume then the magnetic...notably - and the magnetic is set to the middle position on the pup switch

I had several JPs and never encountered this.
There are no issues with the sound of the piezo, does not seem to be damaged or anything like that. The battery is also new-is (was 8.7V when it has been replaced 2 months ago and since then the guitar has not been used for more than an hour). The strings are 09 so that might result in a lower pressure on the saddles, but still that does not justify this difference.

Anyone has any experience with such case?

Every feedback is appreciated!

Thanks

If anyone on the forum has had the same issue and solved it, I'm sure they'll chime in here but if the guitar is new and under warranty, your friend should contact the store they bought it from and let them sort it out. That's what warranties are for! :) Failing that, EBMM customer service are the people to talk to. They are the experts, let them help.

The guitar is not under warranty. Although it is in pretty much new condition it has been bought 2nd hand as "used".

Just another thing:
So once again the Piezo itself appears to be without any issues. What I have noticed on the guitar is that the pickups are "unusually" high comparing to other JP6s. It has not been altered in any way, they are still screwed down until the bottom of the cavity, however even like this they sit higher than usual, which can obviously cause the extra volume on the magnetic output. The problem comes in as you cannot compensate the Piezo volume by turning everything up to max.
