I did send an email. However i also wanted to see if anyone else experienced this problem before. It is just so weird to stop like that. I wasnt aware the the guitar would not play at all without the battery powered stuff.

Wow. That is sad to hear. I hope things will work out for you and your guitar.
It is very interesting however. For the 2019 line the whole electric has been updateted. I assumed that this would solve "No Sound" issue with the majesties. However, this is the first and only issue that was posted about the 2019 lineup, so it might just be a unfortunate coincidence. I recieved a 2019 model last month myself and I have to say that it is a large improvement! FYI: Here are pics of the old and new electronic cavity.

Good luck with your guitar.
Regards, J

I believe mine is prob still the 2018 model but bought it on 2/2019. But either way, i emailed them and they are replacing it with new preamp design . But i will not have it for 3-4 weeks And the perils of shipping frighten me honestly. I live in ohio and have to ship to cali.. . Never had to return a guitar before. Especially didnt think id have to do it with a 2700$ one But love the guitar.

I feel your pain. I also had to ship mine in from the Midwest for a wood crack issue. Weird stuff can happen but MusicMan will take care of you, no worries.

Hi

Have you looked inside the control cavity at all? I only ask because just yesterday I had a similar thing happen.

Actually, what happened to me is that I'd ordered an absolutely pristine used HSHP Game Changer from Reverb and it showed up DOA. Guitar looked and played great, but no output at all, even after changing for brand new batteries. When I opened it up to look inside, I realized I was definitely not going to be able to do any work in there... the WHOLE inside of the cavity is a computer, LOL.

But that's when I noticed ... one of the PCBs (honestly it looks like a RAM stick) had come loose from the motherboard in there. I just re-seated it back in place, made sure it was firmly in there, and Voila! All better. No actual service work required.

I know some of the newer JP Majestys have some Game Changer tech in them - wondering if it could be the same problem for you.

Good luck!
