Hi,

Just got a new Majesty 6 (Saphhire) last week. When the guitar arrived
the batteries were stone dead. So no sound at all on fist plugin.
The seller claimed to have tested before shipping. i installed new batt's
and everything was fine. Used the Axe on a gig for the first time a couple
days later, made sure to unplug between sets. Everything went smoothly.

Does anyone have an estimate on battery life (hours, days, weeks) at maybe
4-6 hrs a week playing time? Other axe's I have just die when the batt's go,
with little or no warning. Does the Vol fade as the batteries weaken, or does
the guitar just die? I just want to be prepared.

Thanks

On the battery box on the back is a light. When you plug in, and the light is amber it means the batteries need to be changed. I've found that as the batteries go, there's a slight cut out right before they are totally dead. I've been at gigs where I've had to change batteries while a song is being played because they died on me. In an ideal world I'd put new batteries in every gig...but I simply gig with the guitar too much for it to be cost-effective. So I just deal with it. Unless I'm playing a musical or something where I need to be in 100% tip/top shape.

Guitarshreda,

Great! That's what I was wondering. My VG Strat will lose volume gradually, plus the blue light on the front
starts fading in and out, so I can tell when it's time. Plus, if the batt's die on the VG, I can just switch into
standard Magnetic pickup mode and bypass the modeling. Others just stop dead. I always keep batteries at hand
during a gig, but changing in the middle of a song is a PITA. Now I know what to expect.

Thank you!
