Has anyone experienced some "body marks" on the finish of the Majesty where you rest your arm.

I don't use it that much and I've noticed that the finish is a little bit shiny on some spots and now I'm wearing an armband to prevent more marks. I had an epiphone explorer gothic which had a matte finish and through the years it looked terrible and I'm afraid of the Majesty turning like that.

Also the bridge and tremolo bar are a little "rough" and "dirty", I might post pics later.

---

Can I use the Ernie Ball Polish on this guitar or is it safer to just use a dry cloth or something.

Thanks.

Any matte / satin finish is going to buff / shine like that...just embrace the beauty of a loved and played guitar!

It's avoidable to an extent, you should just wash your hands before and after playing the guitar. Try not to play the guitar right after touching something like grease or food as well, and wipe it with a microfibre cloth often. Every satin guitar I've ever had has lasted so long with finishes, some have never glossed and others have been so minor it wouldn't even be seen.
