Hi all,

I just got a Majesty 7 today ;)
I've been playing around and had a good time so far.

The issue though is that I found many dead spots (around 3 or 4) in the g and b strings, and I was wondering if this is normal and what to do about it. I am using the strings that came with it, which could also be an explanation, though I find it pretty noticeable.

If I place the neck against a wall it helps mitigate the dead notes, so I suppose a Fat Finger would do.

Any advices or experiences on this?
Thanks!

just one more detail so that anyone having the Majesty 7 can try it out:
The dead note on this guitar is on the F# on the 11th fret of the g string and 7th fret on the b string.

Well, that's hard to diagnose over the Internet. I'd check the setup, try new strings and see. If you're still having issues, contact the customer service folks on Monday and let them help you.

My Majesty 7 doesn't have that issue. It's actually the most even playing and sounding guitar I've ever played. I'd check the setup.

If it's been sitting around since the first production runs, it probably just needs a setup.

I've had mine since last July. I've noticed it has started buzzing a little where it didn't before. All it needs is a setup. These instruments are made of wood and they'll change a little over time and seasonal humidity differences.

Thanks all for your answer.

I am really loving this guitar so far, discovering new sounds and new possibilities.
It is good to know that it is not a common problem.

I will call CS tomorrow, I suppose that if it needs to be set up I can bring it to Guitar Center, where I bought it, I guess they would take care of that since it is a few days 'old' ;)

Hi all,

I got in touch with CS, they were very kind and helpful.
I also found out that there is some kind of ringing, as you can hear here Playing: ringing3.mp3 - picosong

I am waiting for tomorrow to talk again with them, I hope it is nothing serious :S
