I remember seeing a thread on here earlier explaining how to tighten the knob by removing the rubber band wrapped around said knob. Could one of you fine folks direct me to that thread? Thank ya much.

I believe you need to first protect guitar surface. Then you remove the rubber grommet by pulling it away from the knob towards tha guitar. Find the set screw. Tighten.

Are they similar to the JP6 knobs?
If so, you can insert a cocktail stick between the rubber collar and the knob itself and remove it - like taking a tyre off a bicycle! You then expose the allan headed grub screw and tighten.

I am not sure how the Maj knob is - but if it is similar to the JP models - this is from FAQ on the Music-Man website:

How do I remove the knobs on the John Petrucci guitar? There is a grommet over the knob that is difficult to remove.

Push the grommet down towards the body carefully as to not scratch the finish (don't use your fingernail as the grommet can tear). The set screw for the knob (5/64") will be exposed. Loosen the set screw, remove the knob, then remove the grommet.

yes..same as the JP knobs. Just be gentle...the rubber grip bands like to tear easy....luckily ebmm sells extras if you call and ask nice.
...don't ask how I know...

Thanks everyone! I was able to successfully reattach the knob without damaging the guitar or tearing the rubber. I will say that since the volume knob came off with the DB boost, it did take a couple tweaks to getting the push-push knob to work correctly. You can't mount the knob flush with the piece. You do have to place it on about an 8th of an inch higher than what I would have thought.
