Don't look now, but there's a roasted bongo 5 HHp too.

Oh, heck. Look now. You know you want to.

TPB must have either their description wrong, or their pictures wrong. The bass pictured is a straight 5 HH (no piezo). They DID have a 5 HHp, but it must have sold (it was 2K+). I believe their description is still up from the former HHp they had in. This one is definitely not piezo (note bridge saddles and controls). The neck has some sweet figuring that's for sure - one of the nicest I've seen so far.

Indeed, TPB did sell this bass... The Bongo 5HHp is reclining gently in my studio at home! It is a tone monster, to say the least!

I actually ordered a roasted Bongo 5HSp through TPB back in August, but somewhere along the way the order was 'modified' and EB built a 5HHp. No complaints here! The guys at TPB were cool enough to not charge me the price difference.

I've been meaning to post pics of the black-sugar beast, but haven't had enough time/sleep/coffee to make it happen yet... Twins will do that to you!
