Hi All,
Well the Slinkys on my Bongo HH were pretty worn out, so I decided to change strings. All I had in was a set of "insert British Bass String Manufacturer here... the ones with the red silk that Entwistle loved and helped design oh yeah Geddy and Chris Squire use them too!" YIKES!!! :eek:Not a good combo. Just wayyyy to nasty in the high mids for me. On my other basses that tone is fine but with the Bongo... I don't know.I guess there is areason they come stock with EB strings right? I'll be saving up my pennies for a set of Super Slinkys.

What strings are you using on your Bongos?

Take Care,
Brent

Two of my Bongos are wearing EB Group III flats. One of my fretteds is wearing a silk wrapped core Roundwound set with a .119 low B string.

ACME flats on the Bongo with a set of EB Group II's to go on for this weekend's gigs.

Did not like the rounds on the Bongo

Putting a set of NIckel XL's on the stingray as I type.

Hey, we have the same exact same Bongo! Small world.
Going back to Super Slinkies by the way.
