Let me start by saying that I prefer rosewood over maple without a doubt, but hey there are some die hard maple lovers out there. Will there be a maple fretboard Bongo option? What do we in Club Bongo think about a maple boarded Bonger?

I don't think maple is going to look very good with the painted headstocks......

....but that's a personal thing.

What about a purpleheart fingerboard with green leds, single-cut hollow cocobolo body with snakewood laminate top. And eleven strings.

Hang on, this isn't Talkbass...

Snakewood!

I saw that the other day over on TB.

Bunch of lumber snobs, aren't they?

Snakewood comes from, what? A snake tree?

Not sure. Probably Piratinera guianensis.

I'm going to order a 13 string Conklin made out of basswood. And I'm going to get the neck painted.

Ebony. The original bass fingerboard wood. Selected by the original master instrument makers. Why? Cause it sings, baby, cause it sings!

Wouldn't it be fun to post that over on TB? You made me giggle like a little girl, like a little girl with a really deep voice and smoker's hack.

The fact is in September I have to go and buy a Bongo because it's been a long time since my skills have surpassed the abilities of the StingRay     :D :D :D !!!
