So I do not start new posts much any longer ( unless it is a NGD :) ) Anyways looking for thoughts and opinions on the Mariposa. Never seen one or played one in the wild. Just curious what everyone thinks especially pups and versatility.

There is one that I saw online that jumped out at me, seems a little similar to an AL in body shape which I find the AL comfortably.

Thanks for any thoughts, I will be back in Texas before the end of the year so thinking about a welcome home gift ;)
 
Keith, I've seen them and they have drawn my interest as well, the Mariposa BFR was a real looker. I've never played one, but have been curious.

And your right to me as well it's very AL'ish.

Hope the move goes well, it would be a really nice present I can tell you that.

Well really considering one , will be waiting until I am back home in Texas though. Maybe my old GC will have one to test drive :)

Glenn TBD, having a house built , will be done between the last week of October and the first week of December. Hoping it is sooner than latter.

Already have a special moving guitar being held till I do move so sooner would be great, just thinking of getting it a relative :)
 
What part of TX? I'm in the 'burbs just north of Dallas. So far I've only seen one Mariposa in a store and it was a SBMM. I've been GAS'ing pretty hard for one for the last few months. Weird because I never liked pink guitars but something about it on the Mariposa speaks to me.

A good friend of mine knew Omar growing up in El Paso. I might get in to meet him when The Mars Volta is here next month, fingers crossed.

I have lived in several areas of Dallas for many years, moved to Las Vegas 4 years ago and well have had enough :)

We will be relocating to Royce City, east of Dallas right off I-30, yea the Mariposa is one I have just not seen also considering another model that I know a little more about :)
