As Oli posted:

Craig is currently working on his own album and plans to have it released by mid-2011

No wonder Craig is sitting on that Gamechanger Proto ... hope he can keep it, if only a little longer! :D

Go the Craig and congratulations!

Hey cats. Wow, just saw this thread. Really cool. I feel all warm and tingly inside. Kind of like a sneeze but with a better ending..... Ok maybe not that tingly. It means the world to me that you guys appreciate this enough to even notice it, not to mention, posting it here. it really is kind of a trip to see some of the things I've done, written down on "paper". It honestly looks a lot more impressive than it feels. I'm only as good as the tone, or bass part I'm laying down at any particular moment in time. Looking back is fun every once in a while, but I try to be going the other direction .....on a good day.

I am beyond psyched to be working with Markbass. Peter is one of the coolest cats on earth, and quickly becoming a great friend. In fact, I have half a mind to break up with jack, and make Peter my official Internet bff , cause he has wicked cool amps, and a Canadian accent. Jack does have nice bongos(if u know what I mean) but he's from Texas. anyways... The rig...

Ps... Still sorting out my exact amp configuration. Too many options, none bad. Thanks to Peter, I have an assortment of inbound options I'm gonna be checking out, and getting my game changing tone... Razor sharp. And trust me when I say, I am doing everything I can from my angle to get game changers and modular amps, and magic boxes of yellow and black, to all be speaking the same magic language, or as I like to say "smokin the same dope", if you will. The things that could be done, if these two companies, that already have great respect for each other, put their energies toward a common desire, would be truly insane, stuff of legend, and no one else could come close to touching with a ten foot pole. As Warren buffet likes to say.... "That pimped out crib joint would have a rabid gator filled hater mote stretched 360 degrees around it. They b unstoppable n sh!t. Foggettaboutit. " (paraphrasing)

Since I walked into guitar center and Heard Markbass amps for the very first time, I have been a fan, and an owner. I left there that day with one, (2-10 combo) in fact, about 30 seconds after I plugged in and hit a note... "yeah.. I'll take that... I have to have it... How much is it???....." . It wasn't until I was walking out of the store with the amp that I knew anything about the lightweight nature of marco's genius design. Then I totally freaked out.

A musicman bass plugged into Markbass amp, is damn near cheating. It's the tone I've been searching for my whole life, but better. If you guys had any idea what lengths I've gone to , attempting, and failing to achieve anything close to this tone, in the past, you would maybe begin to understand why it just seems like magic, evil evil magic, that you can just plug a damn bass into an amp, and THAT sound comes out!!! I still don't understand it, and really don't want to... Just keep making them ok guys?

I also had no idea bp's association with mb until after we were hanging out at namm and he asked me what rig I was using in the studio. When I told him that every single note I play or record goes thru a Markbass "15 speaker and tube compressore pedal, he just started laughing, and said "I shoulda known!!!" then he filled me in on the back story about how he ran over Marco on a rented moped in Italy one day, and thought he was dead, but then jumped up and said..... "I make amp!!!!" .. "this give me great idea!!!" ... "I make them lightweight, so I can carry amp cross street and not be run over by senior citizen asshat wearing punky brewster overalls, Elton sunglasses , pink sigfreidd and roy upset tiger cape, zebra stripe crocks, on Sherwood green moped that look like toilet seat cover!!!!"....bp said... Come work for me, it's cheaper than insurance claim!!! And the rest is history...

I'm a lucky guy. I have no idea how I wound up working with THE exact two companies that I would choose every day of the week, if I were given a "perfect world, wildest dreams come true" choice in a lineup of every guitar / or amp maker on the planet. these are them. You guys already know how I respect bp's drive to innovate, and push the envelope, always moving forward, and having the guts to define the cutting edge, regardless of what his competition, or even on occasion his very own "potential customers" think about it. Markbass is just the same. "You say it can't be done??? Solid state amp that sounds tube?? Oh yeah, watch this!!! By the way, it weighs a pound, can run with, crazy guy on moped, u thank me later!"

The future is bright knuckleheads!!! Even though the music business is on the decline, inspiration is at an alltime high!!!! Thanks to the company ive been given the unbelievable opportunity, to keep. I'm very proud of all this, thank u very much for mentioning it here fellas.

Well, I guess I’d kind of like you even if you played the marimba. (Not if you were a lead singer.) I think it’s deadly cool that you’re part of the family of both the gear manufacturers that (to me) set the standards. A lot of bassists get a lot of acclaim and press and notice, many times for all the wrong reasons. You get not enough and deserve more. For what it’s worth, coming from a guy “from” Texas, I really mean that.

Let’s not make any snap decisions. Plus I knew you way back when you were like, “Who should I talk to at Markbass?” WAY BACK. Like – August or something. That kind of history must count for something.

And I’ll help you with the typewritten Italian accent. You made Marco sound like he just might be from Uzbekistan. (Not that there’s anything wrong with that.)

I’m proud to have you here and even prouder to call you my imaginary friend. You do good work, Craig, and you make me want to work harder to play well. Congratulations, you old NashVegas whore. (Not that there’s anything wrong with that.)

Sorry to threadjack but this is the only active MarkBass thread right now. My LM Tube 800 arrived today and paired with the 4x10 cabinet it's absolutely incredible. Can't wait for rehearsal tonight to hear it in the mix which is where I understand it really shines. The only drag is that my SR5 is at the rehearsal space so I had to muck along with my Fenders until tonight.

I've been pretty happy with my SWR rig, but I might just have to check out the Markbass stuff next time I'm in a bigger town that actually carries their stuff. Seems to be the Amp/cab of choice around here. :)

I'm late to the party, but big congrats Craig. If you get the opportunity try a MoMark with the T1M Pre and the 500W chassis with the EQ7G... it is the tastiest of the tasty IMHO and looks friggin' cool too.

The coolest thing I saw about the whole write up though is that you are working on your own album. That is sure to be very very very cool indeed. :D

Craig your posts always cheer me up! I agree on the MB/EBMM combo...it's fantastic.

Interested to see what amp/cabs you choose, or combo.

I'm a little confused...If CY is MB Artist of the Month, isn't he already PLAYING MB equipment?

Not to speak for Craig but I know on a number of occassions he's mentioned using the Compressore pedal. He posted a bit earlier in the thread with some more details. Hope that helps, at least a bit.
