Does anyone have either the CMD 103H combo or the CMD 102P combo?

I am in serious need of a smaller amp than this great huge Ampeg thingy!

And I am interested in how these might sound.

Got the LM2 and 2X10 traveller cab. Absolutely fantastic. Really loud too, even though it is going into an 8 ohm load.

Didn't you come to GC in Dallas, and play through the MB gear there?

No.....

Unfortunately, I was laid up in my hotel room with a severe toothache! :(

Something I don't have to worry about anymore. But that weekend I was in agony!

Although I don't have experience of the Markbass gear you mention, I do, like Bassmonkey, have an LM2. This goes through a 4ohm 4X10 HF cab. You can see a picture of the rig on my thread 'calling all stingray pluckers'. The weight and quality is what attracted me to this gear. I am sure that the combos you are thinking off would be a good investment.

Ive got a Mittle Mark Ferrari head and 2x10 and 1x15 MB cabs.
Traded my Ampeg rig for it and don't regret it one second!! Great tone and portable to boot.

I tried out the CMD 102P with a SR5 HH and was blown away by the power and clarity. Sure beats the 2x10 I have at home ---- plus it's lighter and tilts at an angle for use as a monitor!

I have the CMD 102 P and the Mini CMD 121 P. The CMD 102 P has enough power for most normal situations and sounds awesome.

Oh yeah, one other thing ...... don't forget the CMD 103 is 6 ohm. You won't be able to add another cab to it like you can the 102.

If you really want to go light and portable, I recommend the lmII and a traveler 2x10 cab. The combos are pretty light but being able to separate them will reduce the bulkiness. The lmII has a neat gig bag as well so you could easily sling it from your shoulder.

I found that too.
The cones were practically jumping out of the cabs, it was frightening!!!
Still no distortion or damage to report though!:)

Hey Tom. Did you get a MarkBass gig bag for your LMII?

I never could find one so I ended up buying a Gator 12x12 mixer gig bag. It works perfectly.

I am thinking I should just bite the bullet and drive down to the Phoenix GC. :(

I do hate having to drive down there. :(

First of all, it take me ages just to get there. :(

And once I am there, the traffic is hideous!

I've given the CMD102P a extensive test drive and it was fantastic. I'm gonna sell my current amp and get some MarkBass gear. I'm not sure exactly if it'll be a combo or seperate components yet, but it'll be MarkBass.

You can't go wrong, really. I have the LMII and the standard 151 - Tons of low end, but plenty of clarity. I tried several different cabs out, but that one hit home. Plan on spending some time choosing just the right one.......:D
