Well Last night I got to try this new MarkBass SD800 I tried 2 set ups, First through 2 Single 15 Bag End Cabs each Loaded with 400 watt Neo Speakers and together they sounded incredible.

Then thru an SWR 6-10 Cab and that was breath Taking. So 2Thumbs and 8 fingers up on MarkBass.

No luck at the Cincy GC yet (they just gave me a very strange look when I asked them about it). If the HD-500 is any indication, the SD800 will rock!!!!!

Big Poppa, call me a fool but was at GC the other day played two differen Mark Bass set ups and i thought they were nice. But i think a upper model GK, an Ampeg, or my Carvin are all pretty nice too. What am i missing?

Yep, I gotta say that although my Phil jones is revolutionizing my ears, Mark Bass HAS GOT TO BECOME THE STANDARD out there! :D The fact that it's an audiophile qulity product with Area-51 technology going on in it AND all at a price that is affordable.
and the orange and black is a good look....... hmmmm....... orange w/ black racing stripes a la:

Agree with the weight - don't know about the tone. My GK2001RB is heavy (about 45lbs) but it has killer tone and really cut through the mix. The HD-500 (EBMM made by Mark) is very light compared to it and also has great tone (but different) - guess it is all in what you are looking for :)

MarkBass Blog Entry (MySpace)

Hey Guys,

My first blog entry on my MySpace page is about MarkBass. I felt the need to brag a little about my new-found partner in crime, my MarkBass setup.

Check it out

MarkBass SD800

I'm A Huge GK fan and has had a very Nice deal with them for many years, and I'm sure I will continue our relationship,

But I Must say I did use this MarkBass SD800 this weekend for a huge Outdoor event, with 2 SWR 6-10 Cabs and the MarkBass was unbelievable, Enuff where the sound guys had too see the Amp because they Liked the MarkBass DI better then my Aguilar Tube DI

But I have Owned every Bass Amp on the Market at least once and MarkBass gets my vote Hands down for tone let alone the weight.
