Hi All,

Does anyone happen to know how the Bongo fretless markers are setup?

Are the position markers on the side of the neck located where the fret would be or in the standard postions?

In the first case, playing right where the 12th marker is on the A string would product an A. In the second case, it would be between G# and A (just shy of A).

Also, how many markers are there on the Bongo fretless? I have had fretless basses with just the 12th position marker!!!...of course, I ended up added the other markers myself... :D

Thanks

- Ant

Not sure if anyone's actually seen an unlined fretless Bongo yet. My unlined EB StingRay has the dots where the frets would be.

I did have a Yamaha fretless with the dots where they would be on a fretted bass -- very annoying.

I'll let ya know in a week, or so. :D But, I'd imagine they're at the fret positions

I played a lined fretless Bongo at NAMM, and I honestly don't remember where the fret dots were at on that one. My guess is that they were at the fret lines since I didn't have any problem playing it, and dots in between the fret markers usually screws me up.

To be honest, I haven't played a fretless Bongo, but all our other fretless have the markers where the fret would be. I don't see why we would change that
